Amish star quilt

About this quilt

Pattern came from a magazine, Quilt, from Winter 1990. This quilt is pictured in color on Page 39 with directions found on Page 100.

I assembled this quilt by sewing machine in Fayetteville, NC, during the fall of 1996 prior to moving to Boone, NC, for graduate school. I used pink fabric and beige muslin material for the quilt top. The batting is cotton and the backing is beige muslin. I completed the hand quilting in Florence, SC, during spring 2000. Quilting is stitch-in-the-ditch around the 12 Amish stars and a wreath pattern in the beige blocks. Pink ribbon anchors the borders.
